How to defeat hive mind calamity? ›

The Imp Staff can deal great damage to the Hive Mind and its summons. The Magical Conch can prove extremely effective on the Hive Mind's first phase. The Vile Feeder is also very powerful against the Hive Mind's second phase.

To beat the first phase, you need to destroy the four orange glowing pods on the Hive Mind's face. Pulse Rifle or Plasma Cutter are great options thanks to their steady firing speed.

The Hive Mind is a Pre-Hardmode boss fought in The Corruption. It is summoned by killing a Hive Tumor or by using a Teratoma in the Corruption.

The Hive Tumor is a rare Pre-Hardmode stationary enemy that spawns in The Corruption biome.

Mostly identical to vanilla, with some additional vanilla changes to the difficulty that are configurable. The intended Calamity experience, introducing new mechanics, boss AI, and other assorted changes. A more difficult challenge for those looking to prove themselves. Not recommended for a first playthrough.

Are you bored with how easy the vanilla game is? Then you'll like Calamity. Thorium is a much more relaxed content expansion that focuses less on overhauling the progression experience and more on adding to it. If you like the way the vanilla game plays, you'll probably prefer Thorium.

Corruption is objectively better for expert. The regen of the Crimson armor is far better than the Corruption armor, and is much better for combat. However, the expert mode exclusive item is far better in the Corruption, while the one in the Crimon is basically usless. and everybody knows eow death mode is sextreme :P.

Objective: Kill the Hive Crone

You have to shoot the eggs two times to break them, and once all three eggs are broken the Crone will expose its weak point, allowing you to shoot it out of the air and deal some damage. After a short time, it will respawn the eggs, and the process starts over again.
